CARAVELA HOTEL

Full refurbishment and expansion of an existing building, spread over nine floors, for the hotel function. This cornered building is fully integrated in the existing urbanspace and maintains the image of the marginal plan of the streets. It stands out the building’s typological characteristics, especially the facades, which are characteristic of the 50’s. The aims for the project are the remodeling of all existing floors including: basement for technical services, expansion of the last floor for accommodation units and to reshape the roof floor for a living space. 

On the ground floor are the lobby and some services. The higher floors, where essentially are located the bedrooms, were organized according to the existing building structure and fenestrations.
